Do you want to learn more about Traditional tango music?
Do you want to try DJing?

First of all, I have created an online resource for you where you can find list of Traditional tangos for dancing: http://www.tangoplaylist.com. The list is organized by orchestra/singer/period and it looks just like my iTunes library. You can also preview beginning and middle of each song.

I will be offering any new aspiring DJs to try Djing with my laptop (after of course you spent enough time studying my website on your own). I am also offering a 3-hour presentation about the basics of Djing, orchestra overview, how to create tandas etc.

So here is the full deal:

Let me know if you are interested.

Become familiar with orchestras and classification on http://www.tangoplaylist.com. Talk to local DJs. Read more articles about music and Djing on tangodj.org.

Once I have 2 - 3 people, we’ll schedule our DJ training session.

You should find your 1st gig on your own (I suggest asking at one of the practicas or less crowded milongas) and coordinate it with me to make sure I can be there.

Do it!

I am not charging for the training session, but I’d like to keep your 1st gig DJ fee for my time and effort.

If you enjoy the experience and would like to become a DJ in the future, I will give you a few ideas where to buy the CDs and how start building your own music collection.

If anyone is interested, email me: antontango at gmail dot com.

Anton

P.S. Currently the website has only 12 second samples for each song (12 seconds beginning + 12 seconds end), but I might be able to make 30 second samples available privately for the participants.
