Hi Everyone,
The following announcement is for those who like to mark their calendars
early. More details will be posted in early July.
The whole event began with Mike McCarrel saying to me that he'd like to DJ
an all night Milonga at my place. We picked a date, then decided to have a
barbeque, and the Puppet Show (an earlier idea) got added to it.
So, mark your calendars. It will be fun.
Tango Children's Party
Friends and Neighbors -
You are invited to a party for the children of the Portland Argentine Tango
Community. There are lots of us who have kids, that the other Tango dancers
seldom meet. So, bring your kids out for an evening of fun.
We have engaged the Dragon Puppet Theater ( http://www.dragontheater.com/ )
to entertain along with other surprises. (If you have party or
entertainment suggestions we would welcome them.)
The schedule of events will be: Puppet show in the early evening, followed
by a barbeque for everyone, followed by an all night Milonga DJ'd by Mike
McCarrel. Bring a tent and sleeping bags for the kids (and yourselves if
you like) to sleep in the yard out back.
This early announcement is so you can mark your calendars if you'd like to
attend. The date is Saturday July 24, 2010.
