Hi All. Happy New Year!
I am very happy to announce several exciting guest instructors for January 2011:
Saturday, January 14th - Tango Theory class with Nathan Smith + Open Role Practica
Course description from Nathan: This class will employ surprising concepts from 19th and 20th century German Philosophy to gain greater clarity in demonstrating and explaining esoteric and subtle aspects of tango. These concepts will be related to physical principles of movement that will help you take your tango beyond "steps." A good class for people that have studied tango but feel they don't quite "get it." Versions of this class were taught in Bali and Iowa and were immensely well received and were very influential.
Saturday, January 21st - Guest Instructors Kathryn McDonald and David Huh return to the Open-Role Practica! Topic TBA.
Saturday, January 28 - No practica - we will be attending special workshops with the delightful porteƱo dancer, Maximiliano Gluzman. In brief:
2:30pm - 4:00pm INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED. IMPROVISATION IN SACADAS.
4:15pm - 5:45 pm INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED. GIROS (MOLINETES) IN MILONGA.
